This Anhui, China yellow tea boasts a pleasant sweetness and brightness that contradicts its rich history. Carefully hand-picked in early spring, the young buds and leaves are quickly pan-fired to slow oxidation and then meticulously finished over a low charcoal heat.
While this traditional processing method is no longer widely used, it has been highly revered for over 1,000 years as an exquisite tribute tea. Take note of its enticing hints of grilled artichoke, roasted peanuts, green beans, and a light, nutty flavor with a subtle touch of fresh spring vegetables. Similar to Chinese green tea, this variety offers a smoother finish.
